Chelsea are dealt a blow in their bid to sign Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan as full-back’s agent reveals he is close to joining PSG in a huge £60m deal
- Chelsea have been looking to sign Achraf Hakimi for most of the summer
- But Paris Saint-Germain have stolen a march on their rivals with a £60m bid
- Player’s agent Alejandro Camano revealed deep talks with the French giants
Chelsea look set to miss out in the race to land Achraf Hakimi, after the player’s agent revealed that the Inter Milan full-back was in deep talks with Paris Saint-Germain.
The 22-year-old has been a target for the European champions and they had high hopes of luring him to Stamford Bridge, especially after Antonio Conte walked out as Inter boss after guiding them to the Serie A title.
Hakimi played a key role on the right side of Conte’s title winning team, but can also cover on the left flank.

However, his agent Alejandro Camano now claims Hakimi is in advanced talks with PSG who under Mauricio Pochettino are looking to strengthen having missed out on the French league title last season as runners-up.
‘We talked about several things, we can’t say yet that Hakimi is a new PSG player. We talked about everything,’ he told reporters.
‘Is Hakimi is sad to leave Inter? Those who leave Inter are always sad.’
Hakimi recorded seven goals and 10 assists having missed just one of Inter’s 38 top flight games last term.
Hakimi is set to snub Chelsea’s interest following an excellent season at the San Siro
Previously he had spent 14 years on the books of Real Madrid but featured sparingly before leaving for the San Siro in a £36million deal last summer.
Chelsea had hoped to convince Inter with a bid of £52million plus Marcos Alonso, but PSG appear to have trumped them with a flat offer of £60million.
Meanwhile, Camano insists that another of his Inter Milan clients in Lautaro Martinez is set to stay at the Italian champions this summer.
He added: ‘Martinez stays here, now he’s in Argentina for the Copa America. Lautaro is an Inter player, he has a two-year contract and is happy here.’
